Everglades Tree Island
Well in this picture I just jumped off the airboat and I am about to start surveying this tree island. Doesn't it look fun. Actually its not that bad once you get passed the dense Willow Trees directly behind me. Once you hit the pond apple, Bay, and Ficus trees a little closer towards the head of the island it is not so bad. It looks more like the typical swamp in there and their is shade due to the canopy of leaves. I hope i don't run into any alligators or Water moccasins like pictured below. This is only a juvenile moccasin <> but it could still ruin someones day. I took this picture at Holyland Management area, which is located just north of the Broward, West Palm County line, on Interstate 27.
